From

₹20,900

The same Kodagu circuit with room to breathe. An unstructured arrival day, a full day inside a working plantation with a tasting, and the Madikeri, Dubare and Mandalpatti highlights spread across separate days instead of stacked. The most popular length for families and couples.

Trip at a glance

  • Full-day coffee and spice plantation experience
  • Abbey Falls, Madikeri Fort and Raja's Seat
  • Dubare Elephant Camp and Nisargadhama
  • Mandalpatti 4x4 excursion
  • Estate bonfire evenings

Day by day

6 days, start to finish — travel, activities and where you sleep each night.

  1. 1

    Day 1

Arrive in Coorg — settle into the hills

Transfer into Madikeri through the Western Ghats and check in to your estate stay or resort. The rest of the day is deliberately unstructured: sleep off the drive, walk the property, and let the mist come in over the coffee. Your trip coordinator runs through the plan for the coming days over evening tea. Overnight in Coorg.

  2. 2

    Day 2

Madikeri sightseeing — falls, fort and Raja's Seat

After breakfast, drive out to Abbey Falls, where the Kaveri's tributaries drop through a wall of coffee and spice plantation. Continue to Madikeri Fort and the Omkareshwara Temple in town, then time Raja's Seat for late afternoon — the old Kodava kings' viewing terrace looks straight down the valley and is the best sunset in the district. Evening free in the local market for coffee, honey and homemade wine. Overnight in Coorg.

  3. 3

    Day 3

Coffee plantation and spice garden day

A full morning inside a working plantation with a guided walk: the difference between arabica and robusta, shade-grown cultivation, harvest and processing, and the pepper, cardamom and vanilla that share the same land. Tasting session at the end. Afternoon at leisure at the property, with an optional bonfire in the evening. Overnight in Coorg.

  4. 4

    Day 4

    Dubare Elephant Camp and Nisargadhama

Drive to Dubare on the banks of the Kaveri, the forest department's elephant camp, where you can watch the morning routine of the herd (elephant interactions subject to forest department availability). Cross to Kaveri Nisargadhama in the afternoon — a bamboo and sandalwood island reached by a hanging bridge, with deer, quiet river banks and easy walking trails. Back to base by evening. Overnight in Coorg.

  5. 5

    Day 5

    Mandalpatti jeep excursion

The morning belongs to Mandalpatti. A local 4x4 takes over for the last rough stretch and climbs to a ridge at roughly 4,050 ft, where the Western Ghats roll out in every direction and cloud sits below the road. Allow time at the top — the light changes every few minutes. Return to Madikeri by afternoon; evening free for cafés and shopping. Overnight in Coorg.

  6. 6

    Day 6

    Departure from Coorg

Breakfast and check-out. Depending on your train or flight time there's usually room for one more stop — a last coffee run, a viewpoint, or the local market for spices to take home. Your vehicle drops you at Mysore, Mangalore or Bangalore for your onward journey.
