How hard is the Kheerganga trek?

Moderate — about 12 km round trip with a steady climb to 9,700 ft. Anyone who walks regularly can do it with a guide. If you'd rather not, the Tosh village day is the easier alternative and equally scenic.

December to March you'll almost certainly find snow at Solang and around the Atal Tunnel. Jalori Pass often closes under heavy snow in January and February, and we reroute to Jibhi and Tirthan when it does.

The first day from Chandigarh to Manali is the longest at 8–9 hours. After that, most transfers are 3–5 hours with plenty of stops — this is a road trip, and the driving is a big part of it.

Do you accept solo travellers?

Yes. Around 70% of this group departs solo, and we match same-gender sharing at no extra cost.

Is Jalori Pass always open?

It is open roughly March to December. In deep winter it closes without notice; in that case we substitute Jibhi's waterfall, Shoja viewpoints and Tirthan valley time.

Overview

Where the trip stops being a standard Manali package. After Manali and Kasol you cross into the Banjar valley for Jibhi — deodar forest, a riverside cottage, a waterfall walk and a bonfire — and finish with an early climb to Jalori Pass at 10,800 ft before the drive back.

Day-wise Itinerary

Pick-up at Chandigarh, Bhuntar or Delhi and start the climb via Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu, the Beas running alongside for most of it. Lunch halt at Pandoh or Kullu. Reach Manali by evening (6–8 hrs from Chandigarh) and check in. Evening on Mall Road, café hopping in Old Manali and light shopping. Overnight in Manali.
