The valley at its quietest and whitest. You get both phases of the Gulmarg gondola, a day in Pahalgam's Betaab and Aru valleys, a shikara evening on a frozen-still Dal Lake and a night on a cedar houseboat.

Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg, gondola phase 1 and 2, snow activities, overnight in Gulmarg.

Scenic drive via saffron fields, Betaab Valley and Aru Valley in the afternoon.

Morning at leisure, drive back, evening free for shopping on Boulevard Road.

Good to know
Will there be snow?
Gulmarg is reliably snow-covered from late December to early March. Srinagar snow varies by year.
Are gondola tickets included?
No — they are bought on the day so we can skip phase 2 if weather closes it.
Is it safe?
Yes. We run these departures every winter with local partners and 24x7 ground support.

Genuinely well organised. The trip leader had a plan for everything and still left us enough free time. Kashmir Winter — Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam was even better than the photos.

Third trip with Backpackers India and the standard has not dropped. Stays were clean, food was good and the group was fun. Kashmir Winter — Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam is a must do.

Travelled solo and never felt out of place. Only note is that one drive was longer than expected, but Kashmir Winter — Srinagar, Gulmarg & Pahalgam made up for it completely.
