The itinerary most people mean when they say Ladakh. Acclimatise in Leh, run Sham Valley to the Indus–Zanskar confluence, cross Khardung La at 18,380 ft into Nubra for Diskit and the Hunder dunes, then take the Shyok river route to Pangong and return over Chang La. Inner Line Permits and oxygen support included.

Day-wise Itinerary
Land at Leh (11,500 ft) and transfer to your hotel, 10–15 minutes away. Today is a rest day and it is not negotiable: no fast walking, no stairs, plenty of water, no alcohol. Your body needs the hours to adjust. If you feel completely fine by evening, a slow drive up to Shanti Stupa for sunset and a short stroll in Leh market is all that's advised. Overnight in Leh.
