Good to know
What are Malaysia's entry requirements for Indians?
Eligible Indian passport holders can enter visa-free for up to 30 days through 31 December 2026. Bring a passport with at least six months' validity, hotel confirmations and onward tickets. Complete MDAC within three days before arrival. For travel from January 2027, confirm whether the exemption has been extended.
When should I take this holiday?
December to March generally suits the west coast and Langkawi. You can travel throughout the year, though showers, hill cloud and strong winds can change outdoor visits.
Which currency should I carry?
Carry Malaysian ringgit for local food and market purchases, alongside an international card for hotels and larger shops, so you have both payment options handy.
How are the cities connected?
Travel from Kuala Lumpur to Penang by included private road transfer. You purchase the Penang to Langkawi flight separately, with airport transfers included. International flights are also outside the package.
