The trip
Why this trip works
Spend two nights in Kathmandu exploring temples, stupas and the old royal square, then travel by road to Pokhara for two nights beside the lake. You catch Sarangkot sunrise and visit local shrines, Devi's Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. This is a sightseeing holiday, not a trek, though some stops involve steps. Your package ends in Pokhara; add a flight or separate drive to Kathmandu with a connection buffer if needed.

Before you book
Questions travellers ask
Do Indians need a Nepal visa?
You do not need a visa as an Indian citizen. Adults flying need a valid Indian passport or original Election Commission voter ID, not Aadhaar or PAN. Children need age-appropriate documents accepted by immigration and the airline.
When are mountain views clearest?
October to November and March to April generally suit sightseeing. Winter can bring clear views and cold mornings, while monsoon rain can disrupt roads, flights and visibility.
Which currency should I use?
Use Nepalese rupees for daily spending, with small-value cash and an international card. Indian currency rules and acceptance vary, so avoid relying on large Indian notes or universal UPI acceptance.
Does the package return to Kathmandu?
Your package ends at Pokhara Airport. You can add a Kathmandu flight or full-day return drive at extra cost; an additional Kathmandu night is recommended before a separate international flight.
