Questions travellers ask
Do Indian passport holders need a visa?
Yes, a Japan visa must be obtained before travel through the applicable authorised process. Visa approval is not automatic, and visa fees are excluded.
When should I travel?
Spring and autumn are popular for comfortable sightseeing. Blossom and foliage timing varies. Winter is colder, and summer brings heat, humidity and potential severe-weather disruption.
How should I pay locally?
For everyday payments, use Japanese yen and carry some cash for smaller shops, temples and restaurants. International cards are widely accepted, and IC transport cards help with independent urban travel.
Which trains are included?
The package includes reserved ordinary-class Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto, scheduled Kyoto to Osaka rail and a reserved Kansai Airport train, plus listed station transfers. A nationwide rail pass is not included.
